We’ve made it to November! I love November you spend a month focused on gratitude. I am so grateful for each of you! That you trust me to teach your children dance & be a positive role model in their lives. I have seen the positive impact in my own life & in the lives of my children when an adult truly cares about the children in their lives.
I am thankful that we had very successful Halloween parties last week as well! Our was so fun seeing all these dancers dressed up. I hope they had as much fun as I did!
November brings us down to 5 weeks until our recital! That is so exciting! All of the choreography is done & now we are just perfecting each dance. We will be trying on costumes in almost every class as well. Once I know everyone’s fit I will be sending them home. I am having parents sign out their child’s costume. This helps me to visually see who has received their costume & who hasn’t. Go check out our dance Facebook page to see a video of all the costumes I organized yesterday. It was so many costumes!!
November 10th the recital fee is due it is $35 per dancer. I charge this instead of charging tickets for the recital. Please feel free to invite all the important people in your dancers life there is plenty of room. Our recital is held in the gym of Leading Edge Acdemey. I have decided on recital hair after seeing all the hair accessories. We are going to do a low side bun. Of course if your child’s hair is to short for this I would like it half up. The goal is to keep it out of your child face so they aren’t distracted by their hair on stage. Here is a link to my video tutorial

We will be doing pictures the morning of the recital at Leading Edge Academy. I am attaching the picture schedule for you. We will have 15 minute picture slots & then move to practice on the stage in costume. Pictures move quickly so please be on time. Once your child has taken pictures & practiced on the stage please take them home. There is so much happening that day it get tricky having extra kids running around ( yes they are running, they are so excited for their big day)
Our photographers are the best! Jenece & Bryan Mordt have been doing our pictures for the last 4 years. They take beautiful photos & have quick turn around time. They also have the best prices! Packages are $30 for the 1st costume & $10 each costume after that. That includes a group photo & an individual photo. All pictures are a digital download. They also video the recital & take pictures of the show! The digital download of the recital is $30. A DVD is $40.
I am also attaching the recital program take a minute to make sure your dancers name is spelled correctly & in all the dances they should be. I try to make sure it’s right but I have looked at it for so long that I can’t see the mistakes.
The recital schedule looks like this…
Tech rehearsal Friday December 2nd 5-7pm (everyone comes at 5pm)
Pictures & dress rehearsal 9am-12:30
(Come during your class picture time)
Lunch break 1:00-3:30
(Everyone leaves be back by 3:30)
Recital 4-5pm
Also a quick reminder that tuition is due this week.
